Our piano workshops occupy most of the second floor of the building. Staff at Robert Lowrey take great pride in giving visitors personalized tours through the workshops, during which you’ll observe the extensive pre-servicing of new pianos that is a hallmark of Robert Lowrey, as well as well as ongoing restoration and refinishing of fine instruments on their way to new lives in people’s homes.

Most Robert Lowrey piano technicians have been with the shop for fifteen to thirty years, and have been extensively trained.  An ideal work environment and the opportunity to practice their craft and perform work of uncompromising quality are behind the smiles and pride experienced by delighted and astonished visitors. Formal tours are conducted for schools, and music teachers and their students – just ask the staff!

Service depth is important for new pianos as well.  A piano needs to be properly pre-serviced before it is delivered, and every manufacturer has manuals describing their pre-servicing requirements. Many new piano dealers do little or no pre-servicing at all; all new instruments sold by Robert Lowrey are thoroughly pre-serviced.
