When Robert Lowrey's Piano Experts
uses the word "restoration" in describing the work we are going to perform
it is our intention to make the piano as "new again" as possible in every
respect. This work always takes a long time and is costly, therefore there
are certain prerequisites before any instrument is selected for this process.
The complete restoration of an older piano may not
always be necessary, If it has aged well enough some form of less expensive
repair is possible. The best technical advice is needed when considering
repair or restoration. It is true however, that pianos tend to age like
people and houses do, so when they are 80,90, or 100 years old or more,
major work usually is necessary. It is a very painful experience financially
& musically to have paid for simple repair when major restoration should
have been undertaken. |
